More than 400 slot machines sit on the floor. Denominations run from $0.01 to $1 per pay-line, so a spin can cost a cent a line or a dollar a line. The machines are coinless and use ticket-in/ticket-out. When you finish, the machine gives you a ticket rather than coins.
The machines are on the casino floor, which is open 10 AM to 12 AM (midnight) Sunday to Thursday, and 10 AM to 2 AM on Friday and Saturday. All times are local Pacific time. Holiday hours are not published, so check with the casino at 250-487-1280 before a holiday visit. No machine is due, and no time of day is luckier than another.
Live table games
Live play happens at 5 gaming tables. The games on offer are Kings Bounty Blackjack, Ultimate Texas Hold'em, Fast Action Poker and Roulette. These are live games with a dealer, separate from the electronic table games on the floor.
Tables keep shorter hours than the slots. From Wednesday to Saturday they open at 4:30 PM, and the closing time is posted as "Late", with no hour given. On Sunday the tables run from 2 PM to 10 PM.
No table hours are posted for Monday and Tuesday. If your evening falls early in the week, plan around the slots, or call 250-487-1280 to ask before you go.
Poker, Friday to Sunday
The casino has 1 poker table, and it plays Texas Hold'em. Poker runs Friday to Sunday. On Friday and Saturday the table opens at 6:30 PM, and on Sunday it opens earlier, at 2:30 PM.
Sign-up is by phone at 250-462-4304, starting from 11 AM. Closing times for poker are not posted, so the guide cannot tell you how late a game will run. With a single table, calling from 11 AM is the practical way to get your name on the list.
The rest of the floor
Four electronic table games round out the gaming floor. Which games they offer is not stated, so ask a staff member on the floor if you want something specific.
The casino's gaming pages do not mention bingo, keno, a sportsbook or a high-limit room. If one of those is the reason for your visit, call 250-487-1280 first. Sports do appear on big screens, along with live entertainment. The casino posts its line-up on its own entertainment page at cascadescasinopenticton.com.
